Monroe is a GTD for Detroit, but he should suit up tonight. Crowder is a GTD on the Celtics, although he plays a very small role anyways.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63742&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n I\u2019m betting on Boston to cover the small point spread because I expected the spread to be higher. Boston should be at least a \u20133 or \u20134 point favorite in my opinion, as they\u2019re fighting for the playoffs in the East.<\/p>\n Detroit are completely out of the playoff race and have basically packed it in. My biggest concern about the Celtics tonight is lack of size. Detroit will be towering over Boston at several positions.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63727&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Smart, Bradley and Turner are all small guards, but they\u2019re all starting for Boston. It allows them to stretch out the court on offense and dish the basketball around, but it hurts on the defensive end.<\/p>\n Boston ranks 5th in assists (24.3 APG), but only 11th in rebounds (44.0 RPG). Detroit will have an edge on the glass (45.0 RPG \u2013 4th), but they don\u2019t average as many assists (21.3 APG \u2013 17th).<\/p>\n Detroit is better defensively too, as they allow 99.5 PPG (15th) compared to the Celtics who are allowing 101.8 PPG (25th). Defense has been a problem for Boston throughout the entire season.<\/p>\n The Celtics can put up points in a hurry though, as they have multiple shooters that can put it up from anywhere on the court. Boston scores 101.1 PPG (12th), while the Pistons score 98.0 PPG (21st).<\/p>\n These two teams have played twice this year in Boston \u2013 the Celtics won the 1st game in OT (109-102) and the Pistons won the 2nd game in OT (105-97).<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63741&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Are we in for another overtime thriller?<\/p>\n With just a few games left in the regular season, Boston knows they need to win out basically if they want to hang on in the East. They can\u2019t afford losing to teams ranked below them in the East.<\/p>\n Boston Celtics \u20131 (-110)<\/b><\/p>\n Detroit is only 17-21 at home, which is poor even by their standards.
