They have been particularly miserable lately and are coming off a 5-1 loss to San Jose which followed a 4-1 loss to the lowly Edmonton Oilers on Monday.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=64160&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n They are eight points out of the final wild card spot in the west \u2013 you have to think that any optimism they had heading into the final weeks of the season is waning at best.<\/p>\n Despite Colorado’s recent offensive woes, there are a few players that have shown up each and every night. Ryan O’Reilly has five goals and eight assists in his last nine games overall and has six goals and five assists in his last 12 games against Anaheim.<\/p>\n The team is scoring just 2.57 goals per game and has tallied just two total goals in their last two however.<\/p>\n Expect Reto Berra to get the start between the pipes Friday after taking the loss Wednesday but making 25 saves in the game. <\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=16&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n He has OK numbers in his last three starts – a 1.79 GAA and.944 save percentage – Seymon Varlamov on the other hand is 1-2-0 with a 3.53 GAA and .895 save percentage in his last three.<\/p>\n The Colorado defense has been a major problem all season long \u2013 they have surrendered nine total goals in their last two with little reason to think those numbers will improve any time soon.<\/p>\n The Ducks certainly haven’t taken their foot off the pedal lately – they have won eight of their last 10 games and lead the NHL overall standings. They have scored 16 goals in their last 5 games and have been terrific defensively the last two weeks.<\/p>\n As mentioned the Anaheim defense has found another gear during their current four game in streak – the team has allowed just six total goals over that span. Frederik Andersen has rediscovered his game after a rough patch a couple weeks ago.<\/p>\n He rides a personal three game win streak into Friday’s game in which he has posted a terrific 1.64 GAA.<\/p>\n The Ducks scored five goals last time out and have 13 goals during their four game win streak. Francois Beauchemin and Jakob Silfverberg each have three points in two games, Andrew Cogliano has three points in three games and Tomas Fleishmann has two points in his last two games.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=64161&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Conspicuously absent from the Hot list are Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. They are due for a breakout game and it could come Friday night.<\/p>\n \u2022 ANA are 35-16 in their last 51 vs. Central. The Avalanche have lost 12 of 15 in Anaheim \u2013 expect that trend to continue Friday.
