The Clippers have done fine without Griffin, but they just lost their last game to Memphis. The team had a poor outing, especially Paul. He couldn\u2019t get anything going against the defense of Conley.<\/p>\n
Beverley is a strong defender as well and has had success shutting Paul down. If Beverley can keep Paul in check Houston will be able to win. Jordan has been a beast lately, but he can\u2019t do things himself.<\/p>\n
Harden just had a triple double in his last game and will be the focal point again tonight. Redick and Crawford won\u2019t be able to stop Harden and it\u2019s unlikely they\u2019ll combine to keep up with him either.<\/p>\n
Motiejunas and Jones should both have a big game at the PF position for Houston. Jones has been great since coming back from injury three games ago and Hawes won\u2019t be able to defend either in the paint.<\/p>\n
Houston has the edge at SF as well. Ariza is definitely better than Barnes and much more consistent with his production. I\u2019m surprised that this line hasn\u2019t moved since it opened up last night.<\/p>\n
The Rockets have only lost 8 games at home this season (20-8). The Clippers are above .500 on the road (14-12), but they haven\u2019t been great. The only thing going in the Clippers favor is the H2H trend.<\/p>\n
LAC has won the past six H2H meetings against Houston. They\u2019re 2-0 against the Rockets this season and they just beat them earlier in the month. I think that trend is going to end tonight though.<\/p>\n
Houston comes in averaging 103.2 PPG (6th) on offense, allowing 99.6 PPG (17th) on defense and grabbing 43.8 RPG (12th). The Clippers average 106.9 PPG (2nd) on offense and allow 100.7 PPG (22nd).<\/p>\n
They also average 41.8 RPG (24th) and that number has been decreasing without Griffin. Houston is 10-2 at home since December 31st. The Clippers are a tough team, but easily beatable.<\/p>\n
