The Nuggets had a chance, but they\u2019re now 10 games back from 8th place in the West after posting a horrible 1-9 record in their last 10 games.<\/p>\n
Denver has been bad, but the Lakers have been just as bad, as they\u2019re 1-9 in their last 10 games also. One thing that\u2019s for sure is something will have to give tonight, as one of these teams will have to win.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets are definitely the more talented team, but they\u2019re not playing like that. Let\u2019s talk about the paint first. Faried and Nurkic should be able to absolutely dominate Black and Sacre of the Lakers.<\/p>\n
For some reason Faried has struggled against the Lakers, but he has the ability to put up a 20 point and 20 rebound performance against poor teams like this. I expect big thins out of Faried tonight in LA.<\/p>\n
You could argue that the Nuggets have the edge at every starting position. Lawson is better than Clarkson at this point in Clarkson\u2019s young career. I also like Afflalo\/Chandler over Ellington\/Kelly.<\/p>\n

On paper the Nuggets are better in all major categories. Denver is scoring 100.6 PPG (15th) while giving up 104.3 PPG (27th). LAL aren\u2019t much worse, but they give up 106.3 PPG (29th) and score 99.4 PPG (19th).<\/p>\n
The edge that Denver has to exploit is on the glass. Denver averages 45.1 RPG (5th) while the Lakers are averaging 43.5 RPG (13th). The last thing we should be looking at is the depth on each bench.<\/p>\n
I think the Lakers have more depth, but with Bryant out for the season and Hill banged up the depth has taken a bit hit. Young is a great scorer off the bench though and he\u2019s better than what the Nuggets have.<\/p>\n
These two teams have played twice this year and they\u2019ve split the series thus far with each team winning on the road. <\/p>\n
