Even with the injuries that the Heat have I\u2019m surprised that they\u2019re underdogs against the worst team in the NBA. Miami is fighting to remain in the playoffs, as they\u2019re holding onto 8th place in the East.<\/p>\n

Minnesota also comes into this game with multiple injuries as well. The Timberwolves have been playing horribly lately and things don\u2019t appear like they\u2019ll get any better at this point of the regular season.<\/p>\n
I give the Heat the edge in the paint in this match-up. Bosh and Whiteside are playing great right now and I don\u2019t think even Pekovic will be able to stop Whiteside. Bosh will also have his way with Young.<\/p>\n
Young has been scoring at a better rate than he has all season, but he plays no defense at all. I also think that Deng will be able to shutdown Wiggins. Deng is a great defender and he\u2019s over his recent illness.<\/p>\n

Wiggins is getting a ton of minutes right now, as Minnesota is trying to develop him quickly. He has been great this season and only getting better, but when he has an elite defender on him he struggles.<\/p>\n
The only positions I\u2019m worried about are the two guards positions. Chalmers always seems to step it up when Wade is out, but Chalmers and Napier will have their hands full with Rubio and Martin.<\/p>\n
Both Rubio and Martin are back from injuries and while they aren\u2019t a great duo they\u2019re better than what the Heat have at PG\/SG. Napier is hungry on defense, but Martin should have a big game in this one.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s the biggest edge in this game? Defense! The Heat allow 96.2 PPG (2nd) while the Timberwolves are giving up 106.7 PPG (30th). That\u2019s a huge difference and one that Minny won\u2019t be able to overcome.<\/p>\n
