The talent is there but this team might not be up for the \u201cwars\u201d of conference play.<\/p>\n It will be a great battle between freshman guards in this one.<\/p>\n The Terps top scorer is frosh Melo Trimble who plays with an aggressiveness beyond his year, scoring every which way.<\/p>\n His impact takes from pressure off the Dez Wells and Jake Layman.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63727&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Both are solid all around contributors but Layman\u2019s numbers have been down over the last couple of games and I wonder if having to take on a bit of a load inside is catching up to him.<\/p>\n The Buckeyes just beat an Indiana that completely handled Maryland so this will be one of those games which gives us a better idea of where teams really are at in the Big Ten.<\/p>\n The Buckeyes are good and look to be among contenders in the league but they will have to maintain their success at home (13-1) to be in the mix.<\/p>\n They have won their last three and if they can get this one have an opportunity to build a nice run before heading to East Lansing in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n OSU\u2019s fab frosh is D\u2019Angelo Russell who is also leading his team in scoring. He is a nice player but to be to honest he doesn\u2019t wow me.<\/p>\n The guy who does is Sam Thompson who has to be the bounciest player in the game right now.
