Denver is hoping to at least put their current winning streak in doubt.<\/p>\n

Denver<\/h3>\n

The Nuggets got a road victory last night at New Orleans but this trip will be much tougher.<\/p>\n

The win snapped a 7 game losing streak and was somewhat impressive given that leading scorer Ty Lawson scored only 5 points.<\/p>\n

Denver hasn\u2019t been able to have much sustained success this year, they are just 10-8SU after a win.<\/p>\n

When you look at their profile it is difficult to find situations that are prime to take advantage of, especially on the road. This is going to be a tough spot.<\/p>\n

With nothing to lose the Nuggets are getting a chance to take a long look at some guys.<\/p>\n

One of those is rookie Jusuf Nurkic, a burly foreign center who is showing some promise.<\/p>\n

He had one of his better games against the Pelicans and they will need him to stand tall against a good Memphis frontline.<\/p>\n

His presence gives this team more depth though not the starpower they really need.<\/p>\n

Memphis<\/h3>\n

The Grizzlies are playing some very good basketball right now, having won 4 in a row and 8 of 9.<\/p>\n

In every win but one they have held their opponents to under 100 points and currently boast the third best defense in the league.<\/p>\n

There is no question that they are the better team but can they still get by without their starting backcourt as Mike Conley and Tony Allen are both questionable as this is being written.<\/p>\n

With those two out it is probably wise to take a pass on Memphis right now.<\/p>\n

With the guards out the focus is on the likes of Beno Udrih and Courtney Lee to play well.<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t necessarily need them to score as they have plenty of firepower upfront but they need them to contribute.<\/p>\n

I fear that Udrih is especially going to be overmatched by the speed of Lawson and this shows a weakness in the Grizzlies lineup as Conley has really grown his game to a level where he is desperately missed.<\/p>\n
