It didn’t seem to matter in Wednesday night’s impressive win but you have to think that the absence of two of their top offensive players will catch up with them sooner or later.<\/p>\n For the Devils five goals against the Kings was an offensive explosion – the team is near the bottom of the NFL on goals for (2.2 per game) and shots (24.9 per game). That said the offense has been OK despite being without Jagr and Ruutu. Michael Ryder has three points in two games, Patrik Elias has five points in four games and Steve Bernier and Adam Larson each have two points in two games – Bernier scored twice Wednesday night.<\/p>\n The Devils could use some help from Patrik Elias however – he hasn’t scored in three games and Adam Henrique has just one point in his last four games.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=16&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Corey Schneider will get he start between the pipes Friday – he is 4-2-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .930 save percentage in his last six starts.<\/p>\n The Anaheim Ducks have finally started to flex their offensive muscle – Corey Perry is back to form off injury and weird ailments and Ryan Getzlaf has continued to be one of the most dominant players in the game. Perry scored three times on Wednesday against the Leafs – his best game in a long while and Getzlaf has seven goals and 28 points in his past 18 games. Kyle Palmieri also has three points in his last two games.<\/p>\n Frederik Andersen will get the start between the pipes on Friday – he has been on fire as of late. <\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=64161&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Andersen posted his second shutout Wednesday and improved to 14-2-1 with a 2.22 goals-against average since the start of December.<\/p>\n \u2022 Under is 7-1-3 in NJ last 11 games following a win. The Devils are 4-0-1 in the last five meetings but they are just 9-14-2 on the road this year. Meanwhile the Anaheim Ducks are tops in the NHL standings for a reason – they are darn good. The average Devils won in LA on Wednesday – rarely do visiting teams record a win streak in California. <\/p>\n Look for the Ducks to do their part to assure the Devils aren’t one of those teams.
