\nMiami Hurricanes @ Florida Gators -2000<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Miami Hurricanes have done a good job of replenishing the talent base after a brutal year but they are still a team starting about 21 freshmen. They are clearly rebuilding.<\/p>\n

The Florida Gators have National Championship aspirations and beating Miami \u2013 even though it’s not the same Miami that’s stomped the Gators six straight times \u2013 is what the doctor ordered. Miami will have freshman quarterback Robert Marve making his first career start in The Swamp. Good luck.<\/p>\n

NCAA Football Free Picks: Florida -2000<\/p>\n

Rice Owls +140 @ Memphis Tigers<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rice Owls may not be as good as their huge win over SMU indicated from last week and Memphis might not be as bad as their loss at Ole Miss. Even so, I’ll take my chances with the Owls in this game.<\/p>\n

The Owls have a very underrated offense with Chase Clement running the show and they could be ready to make a name for themselves in Conference USA. Memphis is rebuilding on offense and looked like a mess on defense. Unless they figure that out, Rice could run \u2013 and pass \u2013 wild on them.<\/p>\n

NCAA Football Free Picks: Rice +140<\/p>\n

Texas Longhorns -6000 @ UTEP Miners<\/strong><\/p>\n

Normally, laying big juice on the road isn’t ideal but this is a big mismatch. UTEP was smoked at home 42-17 by the Buffalo Bulls, who have never been to a bowl game. What’s going to happen when the Longhorns come to town with their big, athletic squad? These two teams are just on different levels right now.<\/p>\n

NCAA Football Free Picks:: Texas -6000<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oregon State Beavers +650 @ Penn State Nittany Lions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Penn State is a very vanilla Big 10 team but they do the little things right. Oregon State has more potential overall but that didn’t mean much after they lost to Stanford a week ago.<\/p>\n

The Beavers are better than that loss and they have a tall order heading to Happy Valley this week. But head coach Mike Riley should have his team produce a focused effort in an attempt to avoid an 0-2 start.<\/p>\n
