So who scores the most?<\/p>\n Let\u2019s take a look!<\/p>\n The New Orleans Saints hit a new low last week \u2013 their unfathomable fourth straight home loss came at the hands of the previously putrid Carolina Panthers \u2013 to the tune of 41-10. Absolutely nothing went right for the Saints \u2013 the offense was largely ineffective and the defense didn\u2019t look anywhere close to an NFL caliber squad!<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63753&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n New Orleans\u2019 woes are mostly due to the defense \u2013 they have been absolutely brutal. The Saints have given up at least 27 points in five straight games and allowed an average of 472.3 yards in the past four and they are the second worst total defense in the game surrendering nearly 400 yards per game. It\u2019s true that Drew Brees and company can shoulder some of the blame but knowing that they have to score 35 points per game just to keep up, it puts undue pressure on the offense \u2013 it takes them completely out of their game.<\/p>\n Offensively the Saints have certainly underachieved \u2013 Drew Brees has struggled and has been a turnover machine as of late, Jimmy Graham has all-but-disappeared and Mark Ingram whose rushing totals earlier in the season were outstanding has barely been heard from the last few weeks. Simply put the Saints offense is out of sync but will get a chance to get back on track against a Chicago defense that has been just about as bad.<\/p>\n Yup \u2013 the Bears are a pretty bad defense too! Chicago has allowed a league-worst 29.1 points per game and an average of 377.8 total yards per contest.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The Bears have stopped nobody all season lone and could be the cure for the sputtering Saints offense. Chicago\u2019s defense, not unlike New Orleans has frequently put its offense in a hole, making them create just to stay in games.<\/p>\n Chicago\u2019s offense has been erratic to say the least \u2013 Jay Cutler has had more than his share of game-changing interceptions (15 already this year) and the team as a whole can\u2019t seem to hold onto the ball.<\/p>\n Their best player Matt Forte has been invisible lately \u2013 the team has just 48 yards on the ground in their last two games.<\/p>\n It speaks to the schizophrenic nature of this offense \u2013 one that must return to what it does best \u2013 use Matt Forte and take some shots down field.<\/p>\n The good news is that Chicago will get a crack at a Saints defense that has given up \u2013 get this \u2013 183.8 yards per game on the ground in their last five games.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Reliance on the ground game may be crucial this week \u2013 Jay Cutler will be without Brandon Marshall who was lost for the season last time out.<\/p>\n \u2022 Over is 8-2 in NO last 10 games overall. The Saints have actually looked better on the road than they have at home lately \u2013 hard to believe! That said, they were unable to take advantage of a brutal defense last week at home against Carolina \u2013 they scored just 10 against the Panthers horrific squad.<\/p>\n The Bears are a slightly better offense than Carolina which means Drew Brees and company may have to score 45 just to stay in this game.<\/p>\n Chicago Bears +3<\/strong><\/p>\n I can\u2019t see the struggling Saints doing enough offensively to keep up in the one.
