Both teams are coming off terrific wins against division leaders \u2013 the Falcons beat down the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13 28-19 while the Packers posted an uber-impressive win against New England. The Falcons finally put together a complete game last week \u2013 the passing game was off the charts, the running game was effective and even the defense showed up and did its part in the win. The Packers at Lambeau in December are a completely different challenge however \u2013 no matter how well they played indoors last week, the Falcons will have to improve drastically if they hope to keep up on Monday night.<\/p>\n
Matt Ryan should be a confident guy coming off a 361 yard, 2 TD performance in Week 13 \u2013 it was his best outing in three months. He rediscovered Julio Jones in that game \u2013 Jones was absolutely dominant and should get his chances again this week \u2013 SHOULD. Jones burned perhaps the best cornerback in the game Patrick Peterson on numerous occasions and on paper has an even more intriguing matchup this week. Roddy White could return from injury and Harry Douglas has been playing well \u2013 Atlanta\u2019s passing game could thrive and keep this game close at very least.<\/p>\n
The problem with Atlanta\u2019s passing offense is that we never know which Matt Ryan we are going to get. One area of Atlanta\u2019s game that helped him immensely Sunday and could help him again in Week 14 is the running game that chewed up some yards against Arizona\u2019s top tier rushing unit. Steven Jackson gained 101 of Atlanta\u2019s 142 yards on the ground last week \u2013 a repeat effort could happen against Green Bay\u2019s 28th ranked run defense.<\/p>\n

The Falcons clearly overachieved on defense last week \u2013 they are still among the worst in the league on that side of the ball. Last week\u2019s effort seems to be more about how bad Arizona was rather than how good Atlanta was! Atlanta is near the bottom of the NFL in pass defense allowing 284.9 yards per game \u2013 be afraid Falcons fans \u2013 be very afraid!<\/p>\n
Packers<\/h3>\n
The Packers have officially become the favorites to win it all this year \u2013 last week\u2019s 26-21 win over the previously scorching patriots is further proof. The Pack have now won four straight games, are 6-0 at home and look like the best team in the NFC by far. Aaron Rodgers has 20 TDs and zero interceptions at home this year and is coming off a 368 yard, two TD, zero interception effort against Darrelle Revis and the stout New England pass defense.<\/p>\n
Green Bay should have its way in the passing game for sure. Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and company have been terrors all season long \u2013 no reason to think differently about this week! Eddie Lacy would also have himself a game here against Atlanta\u2019s 21st ranked run defense. Lacy will have his chances against a defense that will be playing to stop the pass. He had 98 yards last week against a stout New England run defense and now gets a crack at a far inferior squad.<\/p>\n

Green Bay\u2019s defense has been hit or miss all season long but proved last week that they are a more than adequate compliment for their high powered offense. A \u201cBend, Not Break\u201d defense suits the Packers well \u2013 they should be fine against Atlanta this week.<\/p>\n
