New Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has turned the team\u2019s defense around though, so he\u2019ll face a tougher test this time around.<\/p>\n Newton\u2019s year hasn\u2019t gone quite that well this season. He\u2019s dealt with a litany of injuries, and has tossed five interceptions over his last two games heading into the bye.<\/p>\n The Panthers\u2019 backfield will finally be fully intact for this game, though. Fullback Mike Tolbert returns to action after having missed eight game with a left knee injury, joining backfield mates DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, each of whom has also missed time due to various injuries this season.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The bye week should have done wonders for a Panthers team that desperately needed a chance to step back and re-evaluate what they\u2019re doing. The team is only one game out in the division, so a strong stretch run could have them returning to the postseason.<\/p>\n Additionally, both defenses have been getting a little more credit than they probably deserve.
