A 27-7 blowout loss in Week 11 to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers has to be rock bottom \u2013 doesn\u2019t it? Unfortunately for the Skins \u2013 their enormous investment Robert Griffin III seems to be the biggest problem.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63753&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Clearly not 100%, the Skins signal caller has regressed drastically from his rookie season. He went for 207 yards with one TD and 2 interceptions against a terrible Bucs defense \u2013 even his team mates are starting to call him out!<\/p>\n Griffin III can\u2019t take all of the blame however \u2013 his O-line has been miserable \u2013 it allowed Griffin to be sacked six times against Tampa \u2013 that makes 11 times he\u2019s hit the turf in his last two games \u2013 not a good sign when the 49ers with Aldon Smith back in the lineup is on the horizon. On paper, this looks like a mismatch with San Francisco\u2019s defensive line having an enormous advantage over Washington\u2019s O-line.<\/p>\n If the Skins can\u2019t generate anything offensively against Minnesota or Tampa (their last two opponents) it is unfathomable to think Washington will have any success getting anything done against San Francisco\u2019s stout defense.<\/p>\n The San Francisco got the win against the Giants last week but they certainly didn\u2019t look like a juggernaut in their 16-10 win against an awful Giants team.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The offense still looks out of sync but the defense is reemerging as one of the best is the game \u2013 they picked Eli Manning off five times last week and paved the way for the win.<\/p>\n The fact the San Francisco scored only 16 points against a team that surrendered an average of 34 points per game is alarming to say the least.<\/p>\n Colin Kaepernick continues to be OK \u2013 he is frequently overthrowing his receivers and has been made to look bad at various times of the season.<\/p>\n There is no excuse for the futility of this offense \u2013 they were handed a 35 minute time of possession advantage last week and scored just one TD.<\/p>\n While the offense has been sputtering for San Francisco the defense has been terrific \u2013 they have created 21 turnovers this year and with the return of Aldon Smith from suspension they are bound to generate more pressure that they have had all season long.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The Niners are in a good position here \u2013 the Skins turn the ball over far too frequently and Robert Griffin III has been sacked far too frequently to succeed.<\/p>\n \u2022 WAS are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games. The 49ers are 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS in their last three games against Washington – expect that trend to continue.<\/p>\n While I don’t love the San Francisco offense to be the difference in this game I do like the Niners defense to create some game changing turnovers.<\/p>\n\n
