Celtics head coach Brad Stevens just wants his team to play some defense. The Boston Celtics rank near the bottom of almost every defensive category in the NBA and look to turn things around when they invade the Wells Fargo Center to take on the 76ers.<\/p>\n

When you’re allowing 109.4 points per game (28th), odds are you aren’t going to be winning too many games. That’s the current story for the Boston Celtics as they’ve dropped three in a row while allowing 116.3 points per game over that span.<\/p>\n

While the defense has been atrocious, the Celtics are at least making up for it on the offensive end. \u00a0Boston ranks 3rd overall in the NBA with 107.4 points a game. They’ve received a surprising boost from back up C Tyler Zeller this season. Zeller is shooting 86.2 percent from the field and is seeing his playing time increase as his contributions continue to help the Celtics.<\/p>\n

So far this season, Boston is 1-2 on the road while scoring 103.0 points a contest.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia<\/h3>\n

When you’re 0-10, its really difficult to find a bright spot. You can justify that the 76ers are a young team and your argument is validated. At some point though, the excuses of being inexperienced or too young have to stop.<\/p>\n

Thats the case for the 76ers as they enter this contest against the Celtics.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia comes in ranked 30th overall in points per game with 88.5.<\/p>\n

They are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA, allowing 105.4 points per game (25th). The rebounding story gets no prettier as they rank 27th overall with just 39.4 rebounds a game.<\/p>\n

While its clear to see why this team is 0-10, they have played a little better in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

The 76ers are 3-1 ATS at home this season and nearly took out Pau Gasol and the Chicago Bulls last time they were at the Wells Fargo Center.<\/p>\n

There is no panic from inside the 76ers locker room either. SG Tony Wroten told reporters that this team isn’t far from where they want to be.<\/p>\n
