NASCAR\u2019s 2014 Chase to the Sprint Cup title enters the Eliminator Round with just eight drivers left in the field heading into Sunday\u2019s Goody\u2019s Headache Relief Shot 500<\/strong> at Martinsville Speedway. <\/p>\n NASCAR Sprint Cup- Goody\u2019s Headache Relief Shot 500 Preview and Prediction<\/strong> All the action is set to get underway at 1:30 p.m. and the race will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.<\/p>\n A gutsy Brad Keselowski grinded-out a victory last Sunday at Talladega to keep his Sprint Cup title hopes alive and Matt Kenseth made it into the next round by taking second. The top three in that race was rounded-out by a third-place finish by Clint Bowyer.<\/p>\n The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday\u2019s race based on odds provided by Bovada.<\/p>\n You cannot help but get the feeling that long-time veteran Jeff Gordon<\/strong> is going to find a way to win this season\u2019s Sprint Cup title, and a victory this Sunday as a 4\/1 favorite would go a long way towards making it a reality. The No. 24 car remains one of the most consistent teams left in the Chase and it knows how to win races with four victories this season including one in the Chase at Dover. Gordon has had a very successful run at Martinsville over the course of his career with an average finishing position of 7.0. His last win at this track in a Sprint Cup race came just last year in this event.<\/p>\n Matt Kenseth<\/strong> has gone from winning seven Sprint Cup races in 2013 to still searching for his first checkered flag this season, but he continues to race well enough to stay in the Chase. The No. 20 car\u2019s second-place finish last week at Talladega was the team\u2019s 12th<\/sup> top-five finish this year.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63791&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n Kenseth has been listed at 12\/1 odds to end that drought this Sunday and with a sixth-place finish in the first race at Martinsville this season following a second-place finish in last year\u2019s race, there is some solid value in these odds.<\/p>\n I have repeatedly used Carl Edwards<\/strong> as my longshot pick over the course of this season and I am going with the No. 99 car again this week at 25\/1 betting odds to win this race. The team does have two previous Sprint Cup victories this season, but the main reason I like Edwards\u2019 chances at these longer odds is this team\u2019s ability to usually remain in the hunt until the checkered flag is waved. He comes into the first race of the Eliminator Round with a less than stellar track record at Martinsville, but given that there are only seven other drivers with the same motivation to win, the value remains in these odds.<\/p>\n Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, & the longshot – Carl Edwards<\/p>\n\n
