A few weeks back against Arkansas they proved that they are far from being a real threat in the B12 this season, a fact that is likely to be confirmed again this weekend on the road at Kansas State. The Red Raiders are one of the most pass heavy teams around but this week it looks like they will be without starting quarterback Davis Webb. Odds are they have someone else who can sling it but they will be starting in the road against a good team.<\/p>\n Starting quarterback or no the Red Raiders are going to thrown the ball. Backup Patrick Mahomes is just a freshman but you don\u2019t go to Lubbock unless you are looking to sling the ball around. Given Tech\u2019s history it is very possible the offense doesn\u2019t miss a beat but I am not sure I would want to bet on it. This is sort of the last respite before a really tough stretch starting with a visit to Oklahoma next week. It seems like KSU is never the team looking ahead though you couldn\u2019t blame them this time, especially with Webb out of the lineup.<\/p>\n Jake Waters to Tyler Lockett was supposed to be one of the most lethal duos in college football this season but it hasn\u2019t come to fruition, at least not yet. Neither is playing poorly they just haven\u2019t been lighting up the scoreboards. Thus far Waters has not been overly sharp.
