They weren\u2019t able to pick up the victory, but they did give a very good Auburn team a run for their money in a 20-14 decision, proving that Manhattan is still a very tough place to play.<\/p>\n The team could have had a better outcome if not for their three turnovers, and that the running game was never able to get going as they churned out only 40 yards on the ground on the evening. Even still, they\u2019ve been the first team to really put a scare into an Auburn team that\u2019s blown opponents out of the water thus far.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n They\u2019ll see a strong ground game on Saturday when they host the Miners and their standout running back Aaron Jones. Jones has been a revelation through three games this season, racking up 549 yards on the ground, the fourth-best mark in the country.<\/p>\n Jones ran for 168 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-24 win over New Mexico State last week. Jones has accounted for seven of UTEP\u2019s 13 touchdowns for the season, and will certainly be a man the Wildcats are going to want to mark.<\/p>\n Establishing Jones on the ground and controlling the clock will be key for the Miners. The Wildcats can run the ball with authority as well. Kansas State is averaging over 170 yards per game with 10 touchdowns on the ground.<\/p>\n UTEP is a woeful 1-31 all-time when taking to the road to face ranked opponents, with the lone victory coming 40 years ago in a win over Arizona State.
