The Week 4 AP Top 25 college football poll<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0was released on Sunday. Texas A&M and Baylor each moved up a spot to No. 6 and No. 7 respectively.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63738&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n USC\u2019s loss to Boston College also dealt a blow to the Trojans, who fall eight spots to No. 17. Notre Dame and Ole Miss climbed into the top 10 and No. 9 and No. 10 respectively.<\/p>\n 1. Florida State Seminoles (2-0, previous: 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n An off week gives way to one of the toughest games on the Seminoles\u2019 schedule. Florida State really spoiled Clemson\u2019s season a year ago when they went into Death Valley and upset the Tigers in decisive fashion. Clemson is certainly in a rebuilding mode at the moment, but Dabo Swinney\u2019s boys will surely come out punching.<\/p>\n 2. Oregon Ducks (3-0, previous: 2)<\/strong><\/p>\n Oregon could have been a little more decisive against Wyoming a week ago, but a letdown was to be expected after their big win over Michigan State. Another soft matchup on tap against Washington State this weekend, even if it is on the road.<\/p>\n 3. Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0, previous: 3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Alabama let Southern Miss hang around for a little while before pulling away, though bettors won\u2019t be happy that they weren\u2019t able to cover the number. They have a tough one on their hands on Sunday with an underrated Florida squad making the trip out to Tuscaloosa as 16-point underdogs.<\/p>\n 4. Oklahoma Sooners (3-0, previous: 3)<\/strong><\/p>\n Oklahoma made short work of Tennessee a week ago, again showing that they are a major player in the quest for a spot in the inaugural College Football Playoff. On tap this weekend is a trip to West Virginia to take on the Mountaineers as nine-point favorites.<\/p>\n 5. Auburn Tigers (2-0, previous: 5)<\/strong><\/p>\n Gus Malzahn\u2019s Auburn squad enjoyed a week off in advance of Thursday night\u2019s prime time matchup against Kansas State in Manhattan. Kansas State is the 20th-ranked team in the nation at the moment, and even though that\u2019s probably generous, they\u2019re still a tough out on their home field.<\/p>\n 6. Texas A&M Aggies (3-0, previous: 7)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Aggies didn\u2019t run away with their game against Rice the way they probably could have. They\u2019ll get another opportunity to build up a big margin on Saturday when they visit SMU.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n 7. Baylor Bears (3-0, previous: 8)<\/strong><\/p>\n Baylor built up a nice margin in their win over Buffalo in prime time, showing that they can score points at will in the right circumstances. They\u2019re off this week, and star quarterback Bryce Petty will use that time to heal his various bumps and bruises.<\/p>\n 8. LSU Tigers (3-0, previous: 10)<\/strong><\/p>\n LSU didn\u2019t have any trouble with UL-Monroe a week ago, picking up their second shutout victory in as many weeks. They\u2019ll face much stiffer competition on Saturday when they host an improving Mississippi State squad. They get the game in Baton Rouge, though, and that\u2019s a big part of why they\u2019re installed as 10-point favorites.<\/p>\n 9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-0, previous: 11)<\/strong><\/p>\n Notre Dame has shown a lot of flaws in going 3-0, but quarterback Everett Golson certainly isn\u2019t one of them. <\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63739&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n He\u2019s looked like a legitimate Heisman candidate after returning to the lineup following a missed 2013 campaign. The team returns next week when they take on Syracuse.<\/p>\n 10. Ole Miss Rebels (3-0, previous: 14)<\/strong><\/p>\n Oddsmakers just can\u2019t find a number big enough that Ole Miss can\u2019t cover. The Rebels get a well-deserved week off after a very impressive start to the season on both sides of the ball.
