Will the Pack do what they are supposed to do or will the Jets take that next step Sunday?<\/p>\n The New York Jets have to be happy to have a \u201cW\u201d this year but they can\u2019t really be satisfied with a 19-14 win against perhaps the worst team in the NFL – Oakland. The Jets won\u2019t get away with 11 penalties and two turnovers this week \u2013 Green Bay is a totally different type of animal.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63753&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n The Jets looked just OK offensively last week \u2013 Geno Smith went 23-28 for 228 yards and the combination of Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory went off for 170 yards in the running game.<\/p>\n Keep in mind however that the success came against a Raiders defense that scares absolutely nobody! Newcomer Erik Decker looks like a huge upgrade to the pass catchers and if the rushers can continue to dominate, New York may just have a fighting chance in this one.<\/p>\n Defensively, we know Oakland is going to be challenged!<\/p>\n The Jets run defense held Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden to just 26 yards last week and may have similar success against a Green By team that struggled to run the ball last week.<\/p>\n That said there will be an emphasis put on Green Bay\u2019s running game and it is up to Oakland\u2019s run stoppers that were third in the league last season to respond.<\/p>\n Green Bay will be hungry to get home after a 36-16 loss to Seattle last week. Not a whole lot went right for the Pack who should be poised for a big outing this Sunday.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n But Green Bay didn\u2019t come out of that game unscathed \u2013 Eddie Lacy suffered his second concussion in two years and right tackle Bryan Bulaga was also lost due to injury \u2013 two tough injuries that will be hard to overcome.<\/p>\n The name of the game for the Packers is to keep defenses honest and to keep Aaron Rodgers on his feet \u2013 both aforementioned injuries hurt that cause.<\/p>\n Green Bay will likely go with James Starks in the backfield \u2013 not a bad option and Aaron Rodgers should be OK against a pass rush that shouldn\u2019t scare anybody.<\/p>\n Rodgers is one of the two or three best in the game and will be eager to prove his 23-for-33 for 189 yards 1 TD, 1 Int. effort against Seattle was the exception \u2013 not the rule.<\/p>\n [dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n \u2022 NYJ are 3-7 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. Green Bay has a huge statement to make \u2013 they absolutely need to kickstart their season.<\/p>\n Against a rookie QB, I like them to get it done in relatively easy fashion Sunday. Aaron Rodgers will dominate and the Green Bay defense will be made to look like an All-Star cast as the Pack easily covers the eight points.<\/p>\n\n
