Pebble Beach Pro-Am to Win<\/h3>\n
1.\tKenny Perry, +2000 — I love Perry in this tournament. I wrote that he was a good choice to win the FBR Open at +2000 and he did. Why not win the Pebble Beach Pro-Am? Perry has been brilliant the past couple of tour seasons. I\u2019m going to keep riding him if I can keep getting +2000 in the sportsbook.<\/p>\n
2.\tJim Furyk, +1500 — \u201cFury\u201d didn\u2019t win his usual lone tournament last season. Jim always pulls down at least one tournament a year and then finishes in the top ten in almost all of the others. At +1500 I\u2019m willing to take a stab on him winning this thing.<\/p>\n
3.\tPhil Mickelson, +1200 — At least Phil made the cut last week. The odds aren\u2019t very good but Phil could pull it off because we\u2019re still far away from the first major of the season. That\u2019s when Phil really gets bad. Right now, he\u2019s just lolly-gagging around, not letting the pressure get to him, hitting the ball with ease. If he plays on auto-pilot, he can win this. If he starts thinking, then he loses this easily. Phil should never think. It\u2019s not his strong suit.<\/p>\n
4.\tPadraig Harrington, +1400 — The mad Irishman stunk it up last week. I think he can bounce back this week because he has a lot of pride and pride takes you a long way on the links as long as it\u2019s not Roy McElroy pride. He could turn it around big time in this.<\/p>\n
5.\tMike Weir, +1600 — Weir hangs around better than anybody on the PGA Tour. He could hang around all the way until Sunday, get himself into a tournament against Phil or Vijay, and then just end up winning the thing by default when Phil or Vijay dumps it into the Pacific. I like Weir at those odds.<\/p>\n
6.\tVijay Singh, +1200 — Vijay is primed to take down a field of pros. He\u2019s easily one of the best golfers on the planet and even though he didn\u2019t get hot until the end of last season, he could start things off the right way by winning this prestigious event. He\u2019s a major contender at short odds.<\/p>\n
Best Long-shots<\/h3>\n
K.J. Choi +3000 — Choi can come up and bite you once in a while if you ignore him. I just have that odd feeling that this could be one of those times. He\u2019s a serious golfer who has the ability to play with these guys. Why not take a swing?<\/p>\n
Steve Lowery, +10000 — Hey, he won it last year at these odds. Why not again? Sometimes golfers get really good at a few courses in the U.S. Maybe, Lowery\u2019s just really good at Pebble Beach. At +10000 I\u2019m willing to bet on it!<\/p>\n
