The question is \u2013 are they good enough to reach the playoffs and erase the memory of a miserable 3-13 2013 season.<!--more--> <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Over Under Lines<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Over 7.5 Wins (+110)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Under 7.5 Wins (-140)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Vegas seems to have little faith in the Skins\u2019 chances to emerge out of the NFC East \u2013 their season win total is set at 7.5. Let\u2019s break down Washington\u2019s chances of rebounding this upcoming season and discuss their chances of finishing .500 or better.<\/p>\n<p>Washington has some weapons on offense that\u2019s for sure \u2013 Robert Griffin III alone makes them a .500 team \u2013 don\u2019t you think? New coach Jay Gruden will have some work to do leaning the nuances of his new players and getting his feet under him in his first head coaching gig.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3><a title=\"Sports Picks\" href=\"https:\/\/www.capperspicks.com\/handicappers\/\"><strong>CLICK to GRAB OUR BEST Expert Sports &amp; Football Picks for 2014 GAMBLING!<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He has Griffin III, running back Alfred Morris and new piece DeSean Jackson with which to build an offense that actually finished ninth in total yards last year despite a rash of injuries and a fair share of turmoil under the leadership of the Shanahans.<\/p>\n<p>The key for Washington is Griffin III &#8211; his drop-off last year was monumental. Griffin III clearly wasn\u2019t healthy all season long and saw his total touchdown output shrink from 27 to 16. His passer rating was a miserable 82.2 last year as well \u2013 something that should change as he returns to the field under full health.<\/p>\n<p>Without a nagging brace, expect Griffin III to return to the elite level of QB this year \u2013 scrambling and throwing the ball to newcomer DeSean Jackson who compliments Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss superbly for the Skins. Let\u2019s not forget Tight End Jordan Reed who looks poised to become the next breakout star in the NFL.<br \/>\n[soliloquy id=&#8221;82219&#8243;]<br \/>\nReturning at running back for Washington is Alfred Morris who has all the makings of an elite back \u2013 he like the rest of the team had diminished numbers last year mostly because of the struggles of his QB. Morris will likely be afforded more room with a healthy Griffin.<\/p>\n<p>Simply put Washington has all the pieces in place to become the most improved team in the NFL in 2014 \u2013 at least on offense. Their success however is solely dependent on the health of their top tier quarterback.<\/p>\n<p>Washington\u2019s defense also poses a bit of a problem going forward. This is a unit that was 18th in the NFL last year. The Skins did add D-lineman Jason Hatcher and they did take linebacker Trent Murphy in the second round but Murphy is expected to miss the first third of the season or so because of injury.<\/p>\n<h3>Betting Prediction:<\/h3>\n<p>The AFC East looks pretty wide open again this year \u2013 winning games within their own division is key \u2013 and seemingly very possible heading into the 2014 campaign.
