The left-hander has been dominating over his last nine starts, winning six of seven while allowing fewer than three runs in eight of the outings. He is is 2-0 over his last three, allowing just two runs in 19 1\/3 innings. Kazmir owns a 2-1 record and 3.60 ERA in five career starts against Houston.<\/p>\n
Houston will counter with lefty Brett Oberholtzer, who hasn\u2019t registered a win since rejoining the rotation. He is winless in three starts. Oberholtzer is 0-2 in three career starts against the A\u2019s, including a loss on April 24, when he allowed six runs and eight hits over 3 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n
The Astros will be witouth rookie outfielder George Springer who sat out Sunday’s game, while the A\u2019s will return Josh Reddick, who is expected to be activated from the disabled list in time for Tuesday’s series opener.<\/p>\n
