As exciting as those players are there is no doubt that this lineup is not near the equal of the AL\u2019s.<\/p>\n
The voting is not terrible but Chase Utley and Aramis Ramirez will be the weak links. Here\u2019s hoping manager Mike Matheny finds a way to take advantage of the speed of Dee Gordon. That could make for some excitement late in the game.<\/p>\n

The NL is going to have to pitch their way to victory if they are going to win this year.<\/p>\n
I love the duo of Kershaw and Wainright as being guys that should pitch multiple innings and if the NL is up late in the ball game it is probably over with Kimbrel and Chapman in whatever orders makes sense.

\nThere is some serious pitching talent available to manager Mike Matheny on the mound, which is why the total is so low.<\/p>\nAmerican League<\/h3>\n
While the NL is loaded with arms the AL is all about power.<\/p>\n
There are 12 players in MLB with 20 or more homers and all but three play in the AL. \u00a0There is so much power that a nobody like Albert Pujols can not even crack the lineup as a reserve even with Edwin Encarnacion on the DL.<\/p>\n
MLB leader Jose Abreu is not even in the starting lineup for the AL which is stronger across the board with the exception of SS where Tulo is much better thank HOFer Derek Jeter.<\/p>\n
There is no argument that Felix Hernandez should start the game for the AL, I just wish they would let him go longer than the standard couple of innings just to see what he could do. I saw an amazing stat that said that the first time through the lineup hitters are batting under.200 against the King. Yes he is that good.<\/p>\n
The rest of the staff is obviously good but not quite as dominant as what the national league is able to offer up.<\/p>\n
The one difference that may be in their favour is having more balance and being able to play the percentages with righties and lefties.<\/p>\n
There is a lot of great pitching but I think this one might get a little wild in the middle innings. A total of 7.5 just seems a little low when you look at all the great hitters involved and the fact that they won\u2019t let the top pitchers pitch for too long.<\/p>\n
I am looking for this to be one of the classics and won late but take the over as the better bet.<\/p>\n
