\nMesoraco might get a day off, as he is 2-for-8 versus Edwin Jackson who is expected to start on the mound for Chicago in game three.<\/p>\nJackson picked up a win his last time out, allowing just three runs and five hits over five innings. The 30-year-old right-hander is 4-1 with a 3.45 ERA in seven starts against the Reds, including wins in both meetings this season.<\/p>\n
Cincy will counter with veteran Matt Latos, who pitched six innings of two-hit, shutout baseball in his season debut at the Brewers, but got pummeled in his next start, surrendering five runs and nine hits over 5 2\/3 innings in a 14-9 loss against Toronto.<\/p>\n
Latos is 5-2 with a 2.83 ERA in nine starts against the Cubs including a 3-0 record in four appearances in Chicago.<\/p>\n
