The pitching is still not quite where it is supposed to be but the offense has scored 5 or more runs in all but one of those victories and that is withouth the steady bat of Torii Hunter who might miss another game this evening.<\/p>\n
With a rotation like it has Detroit is primed to extend their run and it looks like Kansas City gave them the push they needed to get going.<\/p>\n

Since coming to Detroit Anibal Sanchez has been awesome. This season he has missed a couple of turns but with a 2.33 ERA it is hard to say that he hasn’t been the acee of the staff so far.<\/p>\n
He beat Texas in May with a solid 7IP, 2ER and has been stingy on the road with a 1.29 ERA. His record is 4-2 with half of his outings ending up as no decisions.<\/p>\n
Backed up by a strong offense that should change.

Most of the first half the Rangers have been a .500 ballclub. Of late it looks like the injuries they have been suffering may have finally caught up to them – they are ona 5 game losing streak thanks to an offense that has scored more than 3 runs just once over that span.<\/p>\n
This is far from the worst team in the league but when Yu Darvish is not on the mound it is difficult to see how they win.<\/p>\n
These teams are linked by the Prince Fielder\/Ian Kinsler trade and there is no doubt the Rangers lost that deal right now.<\/p>\n
Lefty Joe Saunders is one of my favourite fade targets. The Rangers have won just 2 of his 6 starts this season and his stuff is very hittable – it always has been, even when he won 33 games over a two year stretch with the Angels.<\/p>\n
None of his peripherals are good this season and if the Rangers were not so desperate he would not be in the Majors at all.<\/p>\n
You just cannot get behind this guy with any confidence.<\/p>\n
Detroit will extend their winning streak on Wednesday night. Sanchez vs. Saunders is a no contest and I expect the Tigers to jump all over the soft tossing lefty, even without Hunter in the lineup.<\/p>\n
The value is moderate so I would look for something else to parlay this game with to punch up the payout.<\/p>\n
