We should all feel proud of ourselves for knowing that Scott Feldman\u2019s early season mastery wouldn\u2019t last. Since coming off a short DL stint he has has just one quality start in three. Further, in one start against the Royals this season he was hit pretty hard, giving up 9 hits over just 6IP in a loss. The Royals lineup may be struggling but several have hit Feldman well in the past \u00a0– Alex Gordon .381<\/p>\n

The Royals are stuck in neutral these days as Detroit keeps looking better and better.

\nThey lost their weekend set against the Angels and have won only 4 of their last 10. Over the weekend it was the same old story with the offense not giving the pitching staff any rope to play with. They have sent Mike Moustakas down to AAA but opening up a spot for Jimmy Paredes, who is really more of an outfielder, to play third isn\u2019t very exciting.<\/p>\nThis is a guy Houston had already given up on.<\/p>\n
There will always be questions about Yordano Ventura\u2019s future thanks to his small frame but it is hard to argue with the present. He is just 2-4 but his peripherals are all very strong, especially his walk rate given his inexperience and explosive arsenal.<\/p>\n
He got his very first win of the season against the Astros in a sharp performance where the only blemish was a Carlos Corporan home run.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Score prediction: \u00a0Kansas City 5 – Houston 1<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Royals have not won any of Ventura\u2019s may starts but I think that is going to change on Monday night against Houston. \u00a0He has been putting up quality starts almost every time and just not getting the support.<\/p>\n
The value is not tremendous so maybe look to parlay with Toronto or something similar.<\/p>\n
