5 Teams That Need to Do the Most on Draft Day(s)<\/strong><\/p>\n The draft is probably the most important day(s) of the year and teams are looking to improve their talent base, excite their fans and maybe put one over on their opponents.<\/p>\n The draft is about so much more than just getting the \u201cbest\u201d players. They have to fit your system and your needs and live up to expectations.<\/p>\n It is part science with a little bit of art as nobody can really predict how players will perform with perfect accuracy.<\/p>\n Here are the teams that need to tick a lot of boxes or prove something this week.<\/p>\n The Browns are the most hapless franchise in the league. They teased fans last year but ultimately it was the same Browns team. This year they have two picks in the first 26 and they cannot afford to miss with either. I would not go with Johnny Football but they absolutely have to get a quarterback by round 2 at the latest.<\/p>\n More importantly they can not miss the way they did with Brady Quinn and Brandon Weeden. This franchise is struggling for respectability. They can improve on that measure and so much more with this draft where they are loaded with picks from the Trent Richardson trade.<\/p>\n Last year was a disaster for Atlanta. It resulted in them having an unexpected chance to add a high calibre player to their roster, probably two, with two selections in the top 40. <\/p>\n They need more help on defense than offense right now but if they want to split the picks they should pick up linemen with each.<\/p>\n They are looking at a 4th place schedule this year so they could easily make a big jump if they get the right reinforcements. Similar to Cleveland the Jags have to give the fans a reason to care and to carve out an identity. Their defense is way ahead of their offense but it would still not surprise if they went their first with a chance to pick up an elite talent.<\/p>\n They definitely have to get their quarterback of the future – I like Blake Bortles – and similar to the Browns they can\u2019t whiff the way they did with Blaine Gabbert. This team needs a face for the franchise and whoever they draft with their top pick should be it, especially with Maurice Jones-Drew out of the picture.<\/p>\n The Rams are in the toughest division and they are at the bottom. If they are going to close the gap they need to hit on some real difference makers. \u00a0OL Greg Robinson looks like the pick and it is hard to argue with the defensive lines they face in the division.<\/p>\n The defense is pretty good but this team needs some playmakers on offense. I also wouldn\u2019t be unhappy if they said enough is enough with Sam Bradford who is injury prone and overrated – but they probably won\u2019t. They need some sizzle because you can\u2019t go down the field against the team they are going to have to leap frog.<\/p>\n If the Steelers are going to get back to being the Steelers they need to start getting some productivity out of the draft. They fell back a bit last season and it was in part because they haven\u2019t developed the next group of players behind Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu.<\/p>\n It is why they looked kind of old all of a sudden. They are drafting in the middle but they can still find some impact players.
