Stars Look to Even It Up – Host Ducks in Game 4 Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n The heat was turned up a notch between the Anaheim Ducks and the Dallas Stars as soon as the series shifted venues – the added heat helped the Dallas Stars get back in their opening round series with the Anaheim Ducks. <\/p>\n Anaheim (56-21-2-6) at Dallas (41-33-6-5)<\/strong> Following a spicy 3-0 win, Dallas hopes to continue getting under the skin of the Ducks and ride the momentum to a 2-2 series tie. The Stars enter Game 4 as a slight favorite – hard to imagine!<\/p>\n The Anaheim Ducks were taken totally out of their game on Monday night – emotion rather than skill took over and acted as a detriment rather than a benefit. It hasn`t been too many times this season in which the Ducks were shut out and were thoroughly outplayed but it happened in Game 3.<\/p>\n We can point at the lack of discipline and the loss of Stephane Robidas on the blue line when dissecting what went wrong with the Ducks but 0-for-5 on the power play is certainly uncharacteristic of this team.<\/p>\n They Ducks are now 0 for their last eight in the series with the man advantage – something that is bound to change sooner than later. Anaheim has been masterful of taking advantage of what other teams give them – in Game 3 there was absolutely none of that.<\/p>\n The Dallas Stars did exactly what they had to do in Game 3 and may have found a formula for success against the West`s top seed. Aggressiveness and stellar play from their goaltender has to be the focus for the Stars going forward. 34 saves from Kari Lehtonen also helped the Stars\u2019 cause. It was widely known before the series started that Kari Lehtonen would have to steal a game or two along the way for the Stars to have any success at all against Anaheim – Monday night`s game was one of those robberies.<\/p>\n Can Lehtonen maintain his stellar play? Will Anaheim ignore all of the annoyances and get back to their brand of hockey? Needless to say – it should be interesting!<\/p>\n A few trends to consider:<\/strong> It is difficult to imagine the Ducks losing their cool two games in a row. It is equally hard to fathom the Stars dominating the Ducks for two games in a row.
