The Browns are loaded with extra picks this year and to nobody\u2019s surprise they need help in a variety of places. <\/p>\n
4-12; 4th Place in AFC North<\/strong> Round 1 – 4<\/strong> It would be an absolute shock if they do not take a quarterback with one of their first or second round picks as there are a number of worthy candidates and this is their position of greatest need.<\/p>\n They should maybe even take a second one later in the draft. I l love marrying rookies QB together, I think it can help with development even if one is the obvious starter.<\/p>\n Cleveland should definitely be focusing on offense and giving whatever quarterback they choose help on the offensive line and in the backfield. Trading RB Trent Richardson to Indy mid-season last year will look very smart if they come up with a haul of players this year that makes them competitive somewhat immediately.<\/p>\n QB Blake Bortles<\/strong> (UCF) – I am not a Manziel guy so I think the Browns should make Bortles the target with their top pick. I love his size and athleticism and the fact that he made most of his plays from the pocket in college. He might not have the same pedigree but I think he has a lot in common with Andrew Luck. \u00a0If they can not get him at #4 I think they should wait until later in the first round or their first pick in the second round to take a QB. \u00a0From what I am reading both Derek Carr<\/strong> and Teddy Bridgewater<\/strong> could be available then. RB<\/strong> – Andre Williams<\/strong> out of B.C. would be a great addition for Cleveland. They need to improve at this position and getting someone physically mature who can pound away at the line as well as protect a rookie quarterback is key. He is not a highlight reel back but he can be really effective.<\/p>\n OL<\/strong> – If they can not get the quarterback they want their best option is probably to go OL at the top of the draft. The OL with the best current grade is guard Greg Robinson<\/strong> out of Auburn. He is enormous and if you put him on the left side between Joe Thomas and Alex Mack you suddenly have a very strong side. It won\u2019t be a secret to opponents but it will give them something to work off of.<\/p>\n WR<\/strong> – Another possibility I am hearing for their top pick is Mike Evans<\/strong> from Texas A&M. Josh Gordon has proven that he can be a very tough cover but with someone drawing some attention on the other side he could grow his game even more.
