This one could get a little ugly though as their opponent desperately needs the victory and Memphis thumped them on their own floor last time 103-77.<\/p>\n
On the road against a top defensive team points might be hard to come by.<\/p>\n
The one encouraging sign from this season is that rookie PG Michael Carter-Williams is a player.<\/p>\n

Odds are he will be the rookie of the year and with incremental improvement and some strength he has a high ceiling – I kind of see him like a better scoring version of Rajon Rondo.<\/p>\n
After him Thaddeus Young is a decent piece but it is hard to tell whether he is good or just benefiting from a bad situation.<\/p>\n
There is no doubting the 76ers are terrible but they have not been a terrible spread team down the stretch.

\nThey re 7-3 ATS in their last 10, ironically not covering the two largest numbers, a 19.5 and 20 pointer. Even with bad teams there is an upper limit as to how many points I am willing to give up.<\/p>\nMemphis<\/h3>\n
The Grizzlies can not afford any hiccups if they are going to get into the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Right now they are the odd team out, by just a game, but with games left against Dallas and Phoenix they are definitely in the mix. They just beat Miami in a must have so it would be a shame to come up with a dud and be eliminated from contention against one of the worst teams in the league.<\/p>\n
Memphis had an offensive explosion against Miami with three starters scoring 20 points or more.<\/p>\n
If they are going to get in that is he kind of production they need from Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. Off a hot game they moved James Johnson into the starting lineup.<\/p>\n
He was a relative non-factor and it probably makes more sense to keep his offensive focus coming off the bench.<\/p>\n
Memphis will win this game but despite their offensive explosion against Miami I don\u2019t trust them to beat a team by this many points…even one as bad a Philly. Here is all you need to know. Memphis is just 1-4 ATS in games where they are a favourite of 10 or more points this season.<\/p>\n
Sure they can dominate but predicting it is challenging.<\/p>\n
