Along with the better defense has come a bit of an uptick offensively as well.<\/p>\n Sam Gagner has nine points (two goals, nine assists) in the past eight games for the Oilers, Taylor Hall has 31 points in 30 games, Jordan Eberle has three points in two games and Justin Schultz and David Perron each have two points in two games.<\/p>\n A few trends to consider:<\/strong> All the Edmonton Oilers needed was a little goaltending to keep them in games.<\/p>\n They are a better team than their record indicates.
