8 Kansas Jayhawks (18-5) vs. Kansas State Wildcats (16-7) Matchup Stats<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0ATS Insider Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n This should be different this time around as Kansas State has won 12 in a row on their home court, and are now 29-2 at home under second-year head coach Bruce Weber.. They\u2019ll have a tough time keeping that going on this night though as Kansas brings with them star freshmen Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid.<\/p>\n Embiid\u2019s numbers have taken a hit of late as he\u2019s dealt with foul trouble, though he has played well when on the court. Wiggins is pacing the Jayhawks with 16.0 points per game, and has shown an increased desire to get to the rim which has upped his production. He\u2019s averaging 19.2 points per game over his last five.<\/p>\n Those two freshmen could be in for a bit of trouble in a hostile environment in Manhattan.<\/p>\n The Wildcats will look to their own standout freshman, Marcus Foster, to try to cut into some of that production. Foster scored a career-high 34 points in Saturday\u2019s win over Texas, making him just the third Wildcats to eclipse 30 points in a game, collecting his third 20-plus point effort in the team\u2019s last four games. Wiggins scored 22 in that contest, while Embiid added 11 points and nine rebounds. Kansas shot 56.1 percent from the field in that contest, including 65.0 percent from the field in the first half en route to a 17-point lead at the break.<\/p>\n The Wildcats have won 12 in row in their own building, including all three versus ranked Big 12 opponents this season, but the Jayhawks just have too much talent for Kansas State\u2019s defense to match up with. Kansas has won six consecutive meetings between these teams, and 48 of the last 51 meetings overall.<\/p>\n Even with that said, the under may be worth a look as the under is 14-2 in the Wildcats\u2019 last 16 home games.
