For me Dallas is one of the most surprising teams in the NBA so far this season.\u00a0Before the season started I thought they would be pretty awful but they are right there in the middle of the Western Conference. [ad-4468020]<\/p>\n
Dallas Mavericks (13-9) vs. Golden State Warriors (12-10) ATS Matchup Insight<\/a> | CP Insider Gambling Preview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n They have gone back to their outscore them approach with some pretty good results as they are winning games despite being 27th in the league in points allowed.<\/p>\n They have so many older players though you wonder how much longer they can keep it up.<\/p>\n Knowing they have an aged roster the Mavs are smart not to play any one player all that much. PF Dirk Nowitzki is still the face of the team but he is playing only 32 minutes per game which makes the fact that he is averaging 21ppg all the more impressive.<\/p>\n His other numbers look like they are declining but on a per minute basis they are probably about the same so there is little to worry about. When he is on the court he makes shots. What else do you want.<\/p>\n The Mavs are an even 11-11 ATS but they seem to reserve their best performance for difficult opponents. If you look deeper you will see that they are on a 5-0 ATS run when playing opponents that are winning 60% of their games at home, like Golden State. The Warriors just can\u2019t seem to get untracked lately as they have won only 4 of their last 11 games. A lot of that has to do with the fact that this team struggles on the road and they have played only two of their last 10 games at Oracle Arena.<\/p>\n This is the start of a similar stretch in reverse so perhaps they can make up some ground in the standings. Early on they were neck and neck with the Clippers before fading.<\/p>\n It hasn\u2019t helped matters that SF Andre Iguodala is hurt and will likely be out another 2-4 weeks. He was helping the team in terms of providing a high level of commitment on the defensive end as well as shooting at a record high percentage from the field and beyond the arc.<\/p>\n Replacement Harrison Barnes is plenty athletic but is a less efficient player.
