The teams have a combined record of 8-26, good for a winning percentage of .235. Brooklyn\u2019s most recent loss in a 111-87 beat down at the hands of Denver.<\/p>\n The Nets have dealt with a plethora of injuries this season, and in the game against the Nuggets they had to do without the services of forward Paul Pierce. Without Pierce or point guard Deron Williams in the lineup, the team\u2019s offense struggled mightily against a soft Denver defense. New York\u2019s last loss came at the hands of New Orleans, as the team fell 103-99.<\/p>\n The worst part of New York\u2019s struggles is that they\u2019ve gotten solid play out of star Carmelo Anthony, yet still haven\u2019t been able to win. The absence of center Tyson Chandler has absolutely crippled the team at the defensive end, and that was evident in a 103-point, 49.4 percent shooting night from New Orleans. That came on a night where the team\u2019s two bigs actually played decently at the defensive end, as Andrea Bargnani and Kenyon Martin combined for nine blocks and five steals.<\/p>\n Anthony led the team in scoring with 23 points on 9 of 21 shooting, adding a team-high 10 rebounds.
