Pointspread: New England -9 The Patriots finally earned some respect with this past Sunday\u2019s 34-31 come from behind victory over Denver after being one of the most scrutinized s in the league since opening day.<\/p>\n Head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady both know all too well that it is victories this time of the year that count the most.<\/p>\n Houston has to be one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this season unless you are a Falcons\u2019 fan.<\/p>\n It has not registered a mark in the win column since mid-September and to make matters worse it comes into this matchup off its worst loss of the year. After falling to Jacksonville 13-6 last Sunday as 10.5-point home favorites, there is a good chance that this team goes into the offseason riding a 14-game losing streak.<\/p>\n At the very least it will reach 10 games in a lopsided loss this Sunday. Pointspread: PICK New York\u2019s 24-21 loss to Dallas last Sunday may have put its already faint playoff hopes on life support at 4-7, but there is no quit in a team that started the season 0-6.<\/p>\n That dismal start was fueled by a league-worst -16 turnover ratio, but since that point the Giants are plus five in turnovers during their 4-1 run.<\/p>\n Washington won the NFC East last season after a 3-6 start with a seven-game run, but after getting pounded by San Francisco 27-6 this past Monday it fell to 3-8 on the year and just 1-4 in its last five games.<\/p>\n To me, this is a team on the brink of a complete implosion behind a head coach that may have already lost the locker room and a second-year quarterback that has taken a major step backwards after posting a stellar rookie campaign.<\/p>\n The Redskins are another team that could conceivably lose the rest of their games starting with this Sunday\u2019s matchup against a familiar division foe that has already won five of its last seven trips to Washington.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" NFL Parlay of the Week The dogs had their day last week in the NFL with seven teams getting points wining their game straight-up and another two covering with the points.
