The Texas Tech Read Raiders will lock horns with host Texas in their annual interstate rivalry game on Thanksgiving night. <\/p>\n

Buy Razor Ray’s NCAA FOOTBALL Picks Today!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The Red Raiders enter the game on a four-game losing skid while the Longhorns remain in contention for the Big 12 Conference Championship.<\/p>\n Tech was idle this past weekend after suffering a 63-34 loss at the hands of then No. 5 Baylor their last time out.<\/p>\n Freshman quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Red Raiders started out good, taking a 14-0 lead before the Bears took over, scoring at a scorching pace as they headed into the break leading 35-27.<\/p>\n Mayfield finished strong, connecting on 28-of-51 for 314 yards, with four touchdowns and just a single interception, but the Red Raiders just couldn\u2019t keep up with Baylor’s high-octane offense.<\/p>\n The Raiders rolled up a respectable 138 rushing yards to go with 320 passing for 458 total yards, but surrendered a eye-popping 675 total yards, 335 passing and 340 rushing. They also committed three turnovers.<\/p>\n Tech will need to take better care of the football against the Longhorns, who were also off last week following a 38-13 shellacking by Oklahoma State the last time they took the field. On the stat sheet Texas matched the Cowboys in total yards, outgaining them 389-380, but could not find the end zone on multiple drives.<\/p>\n Senior quarterback Case McCoy struggled all day and was held scoreless on 26-of-39 for 221 yards with three interceptions.<\/p>\n The running game couldn’t get it done either as junior running back Malcolm Brown along with junior Joe Bergeron, combined for just 122 yards and a single score.<\/p>\n Defensively, the Horns forced one turnover and allowed OSU to convert 5-of-13 third downs.<\/p>\n M<\/b>att’s Free Prediction<\/b><\/p>\n These two rivals have played each other many times over the years with Texas Tech beating the Longhorns in the final seconds of the 2008 contest, ending their hopes for a national title berth.<\/p>\n The Horns have mounted big comebacks over the years however, making this game always exciting.<\/p>\n Texas is a modest favorite here, but this one is hard to predict, especially with two capable offenses.
