There are just two races left in this year\u2019s Chase and just two drivers battling it out for the NASCAR\u2019s 2013 Sprint Cup title starting with this Sunday\u2019s running of the AdvoCare 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. <\/p>\n
NASCAR Sprint Cup AdvoCare 500 Preview and Prediction<\/strong> This race is set to get underway at 3 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.<\/p>\n Jimmie Johnson took a huge step towards locking-up his sixth career Sprint Cup title with a victory last week at Texas. Dale Earnhardt Jr. continued to race hard in this Chase with another second-place finish and Joey Logano ended-up third.<\/p>\n The following is a closer look at our favorite, contender, and longshot picks for Sunday\u2019s race with odds provided by Bovada.<\/p>\n Given that the title race is a two-man show between Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth, it is only fitting that the two have been opened as +400 co-favorites to win this race. The real reason we are going with Johnson as our favorite is four previous checkered flags at Phoenix and an average finishing position of 6.4. Following a thrilling victory in the Daytona 500, he finished second in the first race at Phoenix this season.<\/p>\n Kevin Harvick may not be mathematically eliminated from winning the Cup, he is basically racing to hold onto third place in the final standings. He is currently 40 points in back of Johnson for the lead and 12 points ahead of Kyle Busch for third, so there is still quite a bit on the line over the next two weeks.<\/p>\n The No. 29 car has been listed at +1000 make its way to victory lane this Sunday. It did find its way there at Kansas in the fourth race of this year\u2019s Chase, but the real value in Harvick\u2019s odds is the fact that he comes into this week\u2019s race as the defending champion.<\/p>\n Last week we went with Dale Earnhardt Jr. at +2000 as our top longshot pick and he came closing to paying off with a second place finish. It was the No. 88 car\u2019s third second-place finish in this year\u2019s Chase and its fifth on the year.<\/p>\n When we saw that Junior had been opened at +2000 to win this race as well, we decided to roll the dice on him again.<\/p>\n He just seems overdue to nose his car past Kenseth or teammate Jimmie Johnson in one of these final two races.
