The Washington Redskins survived a scare last weekend when they watched Robert Griffin III go down clutching his left knee. Griffin will suit up in this one and will go toe-to-toe with San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Buy Razor Ray’s NFL Picks!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Griffin III\u2019s near-disaster came with the Redskins already well behind the Broncos in an eventual 45-21 win.<\/p>\n Washington had begun the game with an early 21-7 lead and tried to control the clock. Running back Alfred Morris ended up getting the ball 17 times and he turned those carries into an impressive 93 yards and a touchdown. <\/p>\n Morris has actually looked better this season than he did a year ago, even though his numbers may not support that assertion due to his decreased workload. Griffin III and Kirk Cousins combined to throw four interceptions while gaining just 180 yards through the air.<\/p>\n The team was able to hang in the game for a while thanks to a stellar effort by the defense, at least early, even putting some points on the board themselves with a fumble recovery at the Denver one-yard line and an interception for a touchdown from DeAngelo Hall. The unit continued its boom or bust style though, allowing the Broncos to put up 446 yards and 45 points.<\/p>\n San Diego cruised to an easy win over Jacksonville in their last game before their bye, 24-6. The team got up early and had little trouble after an early score. Running back Ryan Mathews continued his strong running, rushing the ball 21 times for 110 yards and a score. Fellow running back Danny Woodhead continued to wreak havoc, turning 13 touches into 76 yards and a score. Quarterback Philip Rivers completed 22 of 26 passes for 285 yards and a score.<\/p>\n The Chargers again had trouble through the air, allowing Chad Henne to throw for 318 yards, but they did keep him and the Jaguar offense out of the endzone. Receivers Mike Brown, Cecil Shorts, and Justin Blackmon combined for 258 yards on 19 receptions. San Diego\u2019s porous rush defense didn\u2019t make any improvements in the Jaguar game, allowing Jacksonville to pick up 4.6 yards per carry on their 17 totes.<\/p>\n A pair of strong offenses face off with a pair of struggling defense in this one in what could be the highest scoring game of the week.
