That said, they\u2019re coming off of two\u00a0 big wins, and they have momentum entering their contest against the\u00a0 Air Force Falcons.<\/p>\n Entering the game, Notre Dame is only winning its\u00a0 games by an average point margin of 1.1 points.<\/p>\n The team is allowing\u00a0 just 23.3 points per contest, but on the other hand, it is also scoring\u00a0 just 25.4 points on its own. The good news here is that the team is\u00a0 going up against an awful defense that is allowing 37.6 points per game.<\/p>\n The Fighting Irish have been more effective throwing the ball than running\u00a0 it this season, so utilizing their strengths will be important against\u00a0 an inferior opponent.<\/p>\n Where Notre Dame must be careful is on defense. Air\u00a0 Force is hardly a dominant offensive team, but it can do some serious\u00a0 damage running the ball. The Falcons are 12th in the nation in rushing,\u00a0 as they\u2019re compiling 268.6 yards per game on the ground. The Falcons are completing just 102.3 yards per game through\u00a0 the air, and while that\u2019s a direct result of their style of play,\u00a0 it also creates for a predictable game plan against superior organizations.<\/p>\n Defensively, Air Force must do just the opposite.\u00a0 It has to force Notre Dame to become a one-trick pony.<\/p>\n If the\u00a0 Fighting Irish want to throw the ball, which they will, getting to the\u00a0 quarterback is going to be crucial. Sending the blitz and forcing the\u00a0 run must be a part of the attack, and if it\u2019s not, the Falcons\u2019\u00a0 defense might be in for a long day.<\/p>\n Unfortunately for the crowd at Falcon Stadium, this\u00a0 game really won\u2019t be one worth watching on the national level.<\/p>\n Few\u00a0 people around the country will want to watch two underwhelming teams\u00a0 if they don\u2019t have a dog in the fight, especially when it\u2019s almost\u00a0 a shoe-in that Notre Dame comes away with a victory.<\/p>\n The question is whether or not the Fighting Irish\u00a0 can win against the spread.
