The Louisville Cardinals have found their way to a No. 8 ranking in the college football polls after an impressive 6-1 start to the 2013 season. <\/p>\n

However, the wheels came off the bus last Friday, when they blew a 28-7 third-quarter lead and lost at home to Central Florida, 38-35, at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium..<\/p>\n Despite winning the time of possession battle, Louisville could not slow down Storm Johnson as the Knights rolled over the Cardinals normally stingy defense.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Dominique Brown led the offensive charge for the Cardinals, rushing for 88 yards, while Senorise Perry was held to a season-low 18 yards.<\/p>\n Heisman candidate Teddy Bridgewater threw for 341 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Eli Rogers and DeVante Parker had 95 and 66 yards respectively. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n The No. 107 Bulls, in the meantime, after an 0-4 start, have won two in a row, \u00a0most recently beating Connecticut 13-10 in a Week 7 victory at Rentschler Field.<\/p>\n They have had two weeks off to prepare for Louisville, and will hope they can sustain their momentum as they try to slow down a versatile Cardinals offense.<\/p>\n South Florida will have its work cut out, as it will pit its No. 119-ranked offense that is averaging 16 PPG, against a Cardinals defense that ranks No. 2 this week at 11 PPG.<\/p>\n The same offense was only able to put up 13 points last week against a pitiful Huskies defense.
