Looking at this years participants there are certainly some surprises because I can’t think of many “experts” who listed Minnesota, Atlanta or Arizona as making it to the playoffs at the beginning of the year. It has been a number of years since these teams have made the Playoff Picks which in itself could present a challenge for those handicappers who solely rely on specific teams trends and angles. However, one angle that doesn’t necessarily apply to these specific teams is the fact that underdogs in the Wildcard Playoff Picks are 9-2 ATS the L11 times. Atlanta is 1-6 in the postseason off a SU win and road favorits are 2-9 in playoff picks openers while NFC postseason home underdogs (Atlanta) are 8-1 the L9.
