Gabbert may put together a better effort this season, returning to the scene of the crime – he was drafted out of Missouri.

Despite their offensive struggles, the Jaguars dealt away starting left tackle Eugene Monroe to the Ravens during the week, the kind of self-inflicted wound that’s become a trademark of the Jaguars in recent years. One positive though is that they’ll get back top wide receiver Justin Blackmon for this contest after he was suspended for the first four games of the regular year for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

The Rams said all the right things in the offseason when they talked about replicating the offense that made Sam Bradford so successful at Oklahoma, bringing in weapons through the draft and boosting their offensive line, while also letting Steven Jackson walk through free agency, but the spread offense hasn’t worked out thus far. Things could turn around against a Jacksonville defense that ranks 30th in scoring defense in the NFL. The Rams should get something cooking when they have the ball, and don’t be surprised if the Jaguars break through for a couple scores of their own.

The play: Over 41.5

Jags vs Rams NFL Handicapping The Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday to take on the St. Louis Rams in a matchup between teams that can’t be happy with their starts to the year, combining for just a single win between them.

[15

post-67094","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
