But beware Ole Miss as they battle the Texas Tech Red Raiders January 2.\u00a0While the Red Raiders were highly ranked and their offense highly feared, the Rebels were quietly beating Auburn, Arkansas, LSU and Florida. Not bad for a team sitting as a TD underdog. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Oddsmakers currently have the Red Raiders listed as 4-point favorites versus the Rebels, while the game’s total is sitting at 65\u00bd.<\/p>\n

The Cotton Bowl Classic, commonly known as the Cotton Bowl, is a college football bowl game played annually since 1937 at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, Texas.<\/p>\n

The University of Mississippi will face Texas Tech University in the final Classic played in Cotton Bowl Stadium.<\/p>\n

Ole Miss, 8-4 and ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll, finished the regular season winning five straight Southeastern Conference tilts. The Rebels are making its fourth appearance in the AT&T Cotton Bowl, and their first bowl appearance since the Rebels defeated Oklahoma State, 31-28, in the 2004 Classic.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech, 11-1, finished the regular season No. 7 in the BCS in a three-way tie for the Big 12 South Division Title. The Red Raiders will be making their fourth AT&T Cotton Bowl appearance and their first trip to Dallas since the 2006 Classic against Alabama, when Tech lost on a last-second field goal to the Crimson Tide, 13-10.<\/p>\n

The 2009 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic will be nationally televised on FOX, and kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on January 2nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
