The No. 19 Florida Gators and the Tennessee Volunteers are set to face one another in Week 4 during a battle of one-loss SEC teams. Both squads are coming off of tough showings in their previous matchups. <\/p>\n

Buy Razor Ray’s Picks Today!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Tennessee went to Oregon and fell 59-14, while the Gators traveled to Miami and lost 21-7 (in Week 2).<\/p>\n It\u2019s safe to say that neither team has momentum on its side, but that hasn\u2019t stopped Florida from being favored by more than two touchdowns entering the showdown.<\/p>\n The Volunteers are coming off of a brutal showing against the Oregon Ducks, and unlike the Gators following their loss, Tennessee has to get right back to work without a bye to recuperate.<\/p>\n In defense of the Volunteers\u2019, they did get off to a quick start in its matchup against the Ducks. They earned a stop on defense, which was quickly followed by a touchdown to take a 7-0 lead. That\u2019s the kind of jolt they needs against a Florida team that isn\u2019t as capable of challenging defenses from start to finish.<\/p>\n From an offensive perspective, the Volunteers have been better than their Week 3 showing. They\u2019ve averaged 37 points on the year, and that\u2019s including a 14-point performance against Oregon. The passing attack has been as anemic as it comes, as it\u2019s collected just 137.3 yards per contest, but the rushing game has more than made up the difference.<\/p>\n Rajion Neal and Marlin Lane have combined for 455 yards and seven touchdowns up to this point. The team is compiling 244.3 yards per game on the ground, which has been good enough to make them a top-30 squad in that category. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n Stopping the run will be crucial for Florida, which is exactly what it\u2019s done up to this point. It is giving up just 50 yards per game on the ground, and that\u2019s a major reason it is allowing just 13.5 points per contest (17th in the nation).<\/p>\n Luckily for Florida, it has the luxury of coming off of a bye. Quarterback Jeff Driskel has been less-than impressive thus far, and a week off should only help his case. The other thing that will help is that he\u2019s going up against a Volunteers team that has been known to give up yards through the air this season. Tennessee is allowing 275 yards per contest to opposing quarterbacks.<\/p>\n Unfortunately for the Vols, Florida has the historical advantage in this one as well. It has won eight consecutive face-offs in this series, which dates back to 2004. Additionally, the Volunteers\u2014a one-time powerhouse in the NCAA\u2014are just 1-23 in matchups against top-25 programs since 2008.
