Bruins Look For Sweep Against Seemingly Overmatched Rangers Thursday Night<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Rangers have hit the skids and look like beaten team already against a Boston Bruins team that can\u2019t seem to do any wrong in their Eastern Conference semi-final series. Boston\u2019s depth has been on display so far against the Rangers \u2013 the fourth line was responsible for both goals Tuesday night. Not a good sign for the offensively challenged Rangers in an elimination game.<\/p>\n
The Boston Bruins are officially clicking on all cylinders! Not only is the Patrice Bergeron\/Brad Marchand line catching up to the Krejci\/Lucic\/Horton line but now the fourth line is scoring as well. Daniel Paille, Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell were on the ice for both of Boston`s goals Tuesday night – further proof that Boston`s depth is almost unmatched in the playoffs. Tuukka Rask needed to make only 23 saves for the win against a seemingly energy sapped Rangers squad that is going to have to dig deep in order to stay alive Thursday night.<\/p>\n

However, there is history hanging over Boston, including a blown 3-0 lead to Philadelphia in a series loss in 2010 and a squandered 3-1 edge in this year’s first round to Toronto before the Bruins rallied to win Game 7. 11 players remain from the 2010 team that endured the historic meltdown in the Eastern semis, when they blew that 3-0 series lead and then a 3-0 lead in Game 7 only to lose to the Philadelphia Flyers, who went on to the Stanley Cup Final.[ad-4437448]<\/p>\n
The Bruins are saying all the right things ahead of Thursday`s game, are not taking anything for granted and are ready to go in what could be New York`s last game of the year.<\/p>\n

After busting out in a 5-0 win in Game 7 against the Capitals, New York has been held to five total goals in three games against goalie Tuukka Rask and the rest of the Bruins. Not only are they failing to score goals but the compete level just doesn\u2019t to be there for the Rangers. They look tired, they look defeated and frankly they look outclassed.<\/p>\n
There were some concerns about Henrik Lundqvist and his shoulder ahead of Game 3 but those concerns were erased by Henrik`s play in Game 3. Lundqvist stopped 32 of 34 shots Tuesday and continues to be New York`s best player – BY FAR! But without a little offensive support the Rangers are dead!<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 BOS are 4-12 in the last 16 meetings in New York.<\/p>\nThe Boston Bruins looked like they could have played another game after Tuesday night\u2019s win while the Rangers looked beat in the first period. There is definitely a difference in the talent level of the teams but what is surprising is the apparent apathy of the Rangers.<\/p>\n
The Bruins are good, don\u2019t get me wrong but the Rangers are offering virtually zero pushback at this point in time. The Bruins are absolutely rolling \u2013 I can\u2019t see the underwhelming Rangers slowing them down.<\/p>\n
