Both teams are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games overall and both enter Tuesday\u2019s important clash on two game losing streaks.<\/p>\n The New York Rangers somehow still find themselves in a playoff spot despite a 2-4-1 stretch in which they have scored a total of nine goals. The offense had been bad all season \u2013 the Rangers sit near the bottom of the NHL in goals for with 2.26 per game. Rick Nash has just two points in seven games, Ryan McDonaugh is pointless in five and offensive defenseman Roman Hamrlik hasn\u2019t recorded a point in his last eight games overall.<\/p>\n The hottest Ranger is Marion Gaborik and he has a whopping two points in his last two games.<\/p>\n Henrik Lundqvist should get the start Tuesday \u2013 he has lost six of his last eight starts overall but has been OK statistically. In his last four appearances Lundqvist is 2-1-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .935 save % age. Lundqvist has posted a 1.63 goals-against average in his last 11 starts versus Philadelphia<\/p>\n Despite the recent struggles, the Flyers have always been a good cure for the Rangers. New York has won two of three matchups this season and has taken 10 of the last 11 in the series while outscoring the Flyers 41-18 over that span.<\/p>\n Like the Rangers, the Flyers have had all sorts of troubles lately \u2013 winning games and scoring goals. They are 2-5-1 in their last eight games and have scored just 15 times over that span. The Flyers sit middle-of-the-pack offensively in the NHL \u2013 2.61 goals per game but have not looked great as of late.[ad-4437448]<\/p>\n Scott Hartnell and Wayne Simmonds are each pointless in their last three games and word out of Philadelphia is that Daniele Briere will be out indefinitely after suffering a concussion in Saturday\u2019s practice \u2013 not good!<\/p>\n Philadelphia\u2019s problem has been goals against this year \u2013 they surrender 3.00 goals per game. Ilya Bryzgalov enters Tuesday\u2019s game with a 2.75 GAA and .900 save % age but has gone 1-1-1 in his last three starts with a decent 1.93 GAA and good .933 save % age.<\/p>\n However, Bryzgalov has gone 1-7-0 with a 3.70 GAA in his last eight starts against New York.<\/p>\n A few trends to consider:<\/p>\n \u2022 Under is 7-2-1 in NYR last 10 vs. Atlantic. The New York Rangers have absolutely owned the Flyers the past couple of seasons \u2013 I like the trend to continue on Tuesday night.
