Washington Nationals 15\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nationals made the playoffs for the first time last season and they are led by their pitching, which had the 2nd best team ERA last season. They have 2 great starters in Stephen Strasburg and 21 game winner Gio Gonzalez and in the off-season Washington made a solid move signing closer Rafael Soriano. The offense is solid and Ryan Zimmerman and Bryce Harper look to be future stars and the team re-signed Adam LaRoche in the off-season.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Dodgers 15\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dodgers spent a ton of money to land free agent P Zack Greinke and he joins a solid staff with Chad Billingsley, and Clayton Kershaw. Still, the offense was the problem last season and while Matt Kemp and Andre Either are mainstays it will be key how the players that came over in the Boston trade last season in Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford perform.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati Reds 15\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds are led by their pitching staff, which ranks 4th in the Majors last season in team ERA. Johnny Cueto had 19 wins last season and leads a rotation that has 4 starters that had at least 12 wins last season. Jay Bruce had a big season at the plate and this season former MVP Joey Votto needs to stay healthy, as he missed over 50 games last season.<\/p>\n

Toronto Blue Jays 7\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Really, the Blue Jays having better odds than the Yankees or the Red Sox? They have those odds, as they added several key players including Cy Young winner in R.A. Dickey and SS Jose Reyes and OF Melky Cabrera. The Offense should be solid and last season Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista combine for 69 home runs. However, after Dickey the pitching is a concern.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Angels 8\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Angels scored big in the off-season signing Josh Hamilton to a huge contract and he along with Albert Pujols and Rookie of the Year Mike Trout give the Halos a formidable offense. Still, the team may miss clubhouse leader Tori Hunter, who bolted to Detroit. Jared Weaver won 20 games last season, but C.J. Wilson and Dan Haren both did not pitch well and if they do the Halos may be THE team to beat in the AL.<\/p>\n

Detroit Tigers 8\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tigers won the AL last season and they have 2 big guns in MVP and Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander. OF Tori Hunter was a solid pickup and like the Blue Jays the offense is solid, but the 3rd and 4th starter are concerns. It does not hurt that Detroit plays in the weakest divisions in the AL in the Central.<\/p>\n

Texas Rangers 12\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rangers did lose Josh Hamilton, but they are still stacked and made some solid off-season moves. They signed Lance Berkman and C A.J. A.J. Pierzynski to join a good offense that has the likes of Adrian Beltre, Nelson Cruz, and Ian Kinsler. Matt Harrison and Yu Darvish are a couple of solid starters, but the Rangers could use another starter. [dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]<\/p>\n

New York Yankees 13\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Yankees have the talent, but they have not had the best off-season with the whole A-Rod PED issue. Still, he is out until several weeks into the season and will he even be on the team? Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano had great season, but the team may miss Nick Swisher, who signed with the Indians. Hiroki Kuroda, CC Sabathia, and Phil Hughes each had at least 15 wins last season, but the Bronx Bombers could use another starter.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Giants 14\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Giants won the World Series last season, but do not have great odds this season? Not sure why not, as their staff, which is the strength of the team, is in tact, and MVP Buster Posey re-signed with the team.<\/p>\n

Some of the other teams that have pretty decent World Series odds include the Braves (15\/1), Phillies (16\/1), Cardinals (20\/1), A’s (20\/1), Rays (22\/1), and Red Sox (22\/1).<\/p>\n
