When Carolina beat New Orleans in September you knew the Saints were not going to have the kind of season they were hoping for.<\/p>\n

For Carolina fans you hoped it meant this team was making a turn for the better but they wouldn`t win again for more than a month. \u00a0Now they are on a 3 game winning streak looking to finish the season on a high note with a season sweep of the Saints…QB Cam Newton is playing better but the reason the Panthers are winning has been better defensive effort.<\/p>\n

While winning 4 of their last 5 they not given up more than 22 points in any of those victories including a stingy 13 points combined the last two weeks. \u00a0Newton is still the ultimate threat leading his team in rushing as well as passing. \u00a0<\/p>\n

He was very efficient in the win against New Orleans early in the year…<\/p>\n

On their recent run of good play the Panthers have been cashing at the window too. \u00a0They are on a 4-1 ATS run and actually are 8-7 overall for the season.<\/p>\n

In this tumultuous Bountygate season it looks like the Saints are going to come up a little bit short. \u00a0It looked at one point that they might be able to overcome those 4 early losses to start the season but to no avail. \u00a0Same story as usual with a potent offense not being potent enough to overcome one of the most porous defenses in the league…<\/p>\n

QB Drew Brees is enjoying another spectacular season. \u00a0He has thrown some bad picks this year but should again eclipse 5000 yards, the third time has has done so.<\/p>\n

4 players have 60 or more receptions which is why New Orleans is so hard to defend against. \u00a0Brees never seems to zero in on anyone in particular.<\/p>\n

For fantasy players you might not want to put all your eggs in the Jimmy Graham basket as Carolina has a nice linebacking corps…Since getting off to an 0-3 ATS stretch to start the season the Saints are 8-4.<\/p>\n

They have won their last two straight up and against the number. \u00a0This is a streak team and they are looking good right now.<\/p>\n
