The Bears took a little heat off themselves with last week\u2019s win against Arizona. \u00a0They are still in the hunt for the playoffs in the NFC but I am not sure exactly where they rank in the pecking order should a thousand teams wind up with the same record.<\/p>\n

They have already beaten Detroit once this season. \u00a0If they do it again odds are they will have another game coming to them…The way the Lions play at home this one could be more high scoring than the 13-7 victory the Bears scored at Soldier Field earlier in the season.<\/p>\n

\nThat means they are going to need QB Jay Cutler to show up which has been a 50\/50 proposition this year.<\/p>\n

The Lions don\u2019t have anyone who can cover Brandon Marshall and he may be enough to push the Bears to victory…Given their second half slump it is surprising the Bears ATS record isn\u2019t actually worse.<\/p>\n

One thing to keep in mind is that they have failed as chalk several times this year already.<\/p>\n

On the road they are 4-3 ATS but 0-2 against division opponents.<\/p>\n

Detroit<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been a thoroughly disappointing season for the Lions. \u00a0[soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n

Many thought a repeat of last year was unlikely but I don\u2019t think anyone saw them bringing up the rear of the division like they are. \u00a0They do however have a chance to put a miserable ending on the season for the Bears.<\/p>\n

Its not much but maybe enough to keep them at a reasonable level of focus…That and trying to get 2000 yards for receiver Calvin Johnson. \u00a0After a kind of meek first half Megatron just exploded. \u00a0He has had 8 straight games with at least 118 yards receiving and in more than half of those he caught 10 passes or more.<\/p>\n

The problem is that he can have a nutso day and the Lions still lose( it has happened a lot).<\/p>\n

At least it is entertaining though…If the Bears were hurting you at the window than the Lions are even worse at 5-10 ATS.<\/p>\n

That includes an awful 2-5 ATS record with, like Chicago, losses to division foes.<\/p>\n

I really want to back the underdog in this one but it is probably a pass and save your money for the playoffs kind of thing.<\/p>\n
