Headline: Saints Look to Keep Slim Playoff Hopes Alive at Giants in Week 14<\/strong><\/p>\n The New Orleans Saints will continue their improbable march toward the playoffs this weekend but things certainly don\u2019t get any easier. Drew Brees had his worst game in a very, very long time throwing five interceptions and spearheading just 13 points scored for his prolific offense. The Saints were bad last week and they still had a chance to win the game \u2013 unreal.<\/p>\n This week Drew Brees and company will be looking to get back to their elite status. The Saints are the 3rd best passing team in the NFL and the 27th ranked rushing team although New Orleans is starting to get things going a little with their running backs. <\/p>\n The Saints are 5th in the NFL in scoring \u2013 26.75 points per game and could have some success against a Giants defense that has seriously underachieved this season and showed that it was vulnerable against the Redskins last week.<\/p>\n The New Orleans defense continues to be the sore spot on this team. They are third last against the pass and dead last against the run. The Saints allow 27.75 points per game \u2013 good (or bad) for 28th in the NFL. The only things that this unit have going for it are the facts that New York didn\u2019t look great against Washington\u2019s suspect defense last week and the Saints have had an extra three days to prepare.<\/p>\n The New York Giants \u2013 the rest of their division is trying to give them the division title but the G-men don\u2019t seem to want it! The Giants looked sluggish against Washington last week after putting together one of their best games this season the week before against Green Bay. Who knows which Giants team will show up? [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n New York enters Sunday\u2019s contest with the league\u2019s 9th ranked passing game and the 15th ranked running game. Eli Manning and company still look a tad out of sort but Ahmad Bradshaw looks to be back to form- a good sign for all you Giants fans. New York is still a talented bunch \u2013 arguably one of the better total offense in the league \u2013 on paper! Now it is time to prove it!<\/p>\n Defensively, New York has been just OK at times this season \u2013 opposing teams are certainly having some success moving the ball. Where the Giants are strong however is limiting points. The G-men allow 20.25 points per game (9th in the NFL) but this unit is 22nd against the pass and 21st versus the run.
